A record of life lived
Down to the last detail
Remembered or not
*
A place of light
Where ideas bloom
Music is composed
Art is created and words born
*
A pit of darkness
Where terror threatens
Panic lurks
Our monsters hide
*
Emotions flow from it's depths
Love consumes
Fear paralyzes
Peace liberates
*
Others are touched by our thoughts
As we move through time
But in our minds
We live alone

Oh Pam, this really says it all beautifully. Your art was very cool and really compliments your heart. Such a passionate artist!
I love you!
Beautiful, beautiful!
You are keeping all of this in a physical book, too... right? :)
Peace,
~Chani
Wow! Beautiful! I wonder what kind of fun you would have with MRI images...
I studied your art work. That is very very powerful. Strands of remembered melodies, remembered beauty - the learning - the connecting, but as you remark in the last line of your lovely poem - we live alone in these minds. Mine is not always user friendly :0)
very effective, Pam. You're right, no matter how close we get to others we are still alone in our minds...both comforting and frightening.
I love the contrast between wonder and terror. You've captured the way our minds work ... and yes, ultimately we live alone in our heads.
Your art is incredibly powerful.
Pam--I enlarged the painting to see the details more clearly. By itself, worth a long study & contemplation.
I love the minds producing music, books, beauty in butterflies.
What really beautiful pictures and poem. The colors and the words are so lovely. You are extremely talented and can present the nuances so effortlessly. Very enjoyable. Thank you, Alyssa
Tammy - Thanks, sometimes the ideas for expressing my feelings come with ease, sometimes not. But passion for life, art, everything is always at the ready.
I love you too, Robin!
Chani - Actually, I just started the physical book, a keepsake for the grandkids since they care enough to follow my blog.
Bonita - MRI images...hmmm, you may have the bud of a good idea!
Cathy - The worlds biggest computer, the brain, it holds everything. With the added dimension of emotion. Mine's not always user friendly, either! LOL
Ginnie - It's so true, no matter how other lives touch us, we are, ultimately, alone in there.
Kate - The contrast of ups and downs is quite a ride, sometimes difficult to fathom and frightening, but quite a ride just the same.
Kgmom - Thank you. I had to think about what what I was going to choose to represent the thought process, the well of information is deep, but I think creativity is one of our greatest gifts. That and the abilities to learn and reason.
Alyssa - Thank you so much, but effortlessly? You should be in there with me! LOL Actually, there are days when it all just comes together and days when it's alphabet soup. A truth for us all.
Mind Trips, indeed. Very nice.
Hi Pam,
Yes, the brain is indeed a thing of wonder and of terror. Whenever I learn more about memory or language acquisition, I'm just brought to my knees. I like your images.
Wow, this is amazing. The art and the words. You have a gift for understanding, Pam.
Hugs,
Laurie
AC - Thanks. And thanks for stopping by on your vacation.
Caroline - Wonder, mystery and facination. Just think about where our dreams take us.
Laurie - Understanding...yes, to some degree, it goes with age, hopefully. But it's just the tip of the iceburg, there is always so much more, which is what makes it all so intriguing.
Love your blog.
