About Me
- Name: Pam
- Location: Vermont, United States
Before the onset of ALS I kayaked rivers and the ocean, hiked the Green mts. of VT and was moderately successful as an artist. I can no longer use the pastels, colored pencils and papers I so loved and now paint with the help of my computer to express the musings of my mind. Every day is a fight to hold my disease in check, but each day is also a gift. I fight my battle with the help of my wonderful family and friends, and my husband who sticks by me with love, help with the things I can't do on my own, and humor.

Ooooh! I like it! Now I'd like to know what the tree is saying. :)
Peace,

Cool! I left something my my blog for you, too! Check it out!
That is really creative--very evocative.
Oh my, that is really amazing.
I love the look of this work, Pam. You have an amazing ability!
It reminds me of Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree." Do you know that story? Google it if you don't. By reminds me, I mean it could illustrate the story quite well. Your art, alone, is one of a kind. Just like you. I adore you.
What an interesting picture. I think that is one of the Ents. They were said to be ancient - at least according to Tolkein. They were some of the most unique creations in his stories. You've brought them to life.
Alyssa
I like it - how do you do this?
WOW! Batman this is wonderful!!!!
LOVE YA!
Robin
And I would like to thank you for having the vision to see something like that in the photo.
Now that is waaaay cool!
Marvelous rendering.
You are amazing, Pam. Thanks for sharing your imagination with us. I would like to know how you do it too.
PS: forgive me for not following through on your "sharing 8 things" offers. I appreciate your thinking of me, though.
Chani - Whatever it's saying, it would probably be worth knowing.
Pepek - Loved the tree, thanks for thinking of me. I saved it...we'll see where it leads me.
Kgmom - Old trees have that quality, all on their own.
Laurie - Thanks, glad you like it. It's good that there are still old trees that have not been destroyed.
Kate - Thanks - some trees just seem to have old souls and faces in them.
Mama P - Thank you, and the feeling is mutual. Don't know the story, but will look it up.
Alyssa - With all the reading I've done, I am ashamed to say I have never read Tolkein. Something I should do.
Bonita and Ginnie - I have learned to do with the computer and pixels what I used to do with pastels. Happy that you like it!
Tammy - Thanks, Robin! XXOO
AC - It hit me right off, you captured the tree's character totally. Tell Cuppa that I'm sorry to have taken her out.
Cathy and Bitterroot - Thank you very much, it was fun.
Wow, I'm not sure how you did that. There's so much life and energy in it. Bravo to AnvilCloud also.
So, thanks for inviting me to share in the meme. I was really flattered! I tried, but it didn't feel right.
