About Me
- Name: Pam
- Location: Vermont, United States
Before the onset of ALS I kayaked rivers and the ocean, hiked the Green mts. of VT and was moderately successful as an artist. I can no longer use the pastels, colored pencils and papers I so loved and now paint with the help of my computer to express the musings of my mind. Every day is a fight to hold my disease in check, but each day is also a gift. I fight my battle with the help of my wonderful family and friends, and my husband who sticks by me with love, help with the things I can't do on my own, and humor.

Beautiful words that pierced my heart! Your artwork is very moving as I picture that drop of water as a tear. Bravo!
Ah, the creativity continues to flow. Are you using Paint Shop, Photoshop, or something else?
Your graphic dances out of the screen into my world and your words lodge in my heart.
Oh that is so fierce and beautiful -- both the image and the words. I once did a meditation workshop that included people in wheelchairs. When we got to the walking breaks, we used the words of Thich Nhat Hanh: "We walk for ourselves and we walk for those who cannot walk." I teamed up with a woman who had lost her legs. I "carried" her with me in each slow and mindful step. She allowed herself to "walk" each step with me as I advanced on the grass. I came to great awareness of her physical (not spiritual) immobility. Of course I was weeping by the end of it, and so was she. I swear that walking will never be the same. Your image captured that burst of emotion I felt that day.
Beautiful. You are a true artist with the combo of literature and visual.
Pam, what a beautiful image and eloquent poem. Your art is a continuing reminder to us all to appreciate each precious moment.
Lovely.....thanks, Pam. You are an inspiration.
Oh, man! I just love that picture! :) I've been by three or four times to look at it again. LOL
Peace,
~Chani
