Thanksgiving portrait

,
My family, with the exception of my husband's daughter and her family who had other plans, celebrated a joyous Thanksgiving at my daughter Laura's new home. I love our family gatherings with their warmth and fun and come away happy and fulfilled. The topics of conversation are many and vary from the serious to the mundane. The kids join in much of the time but when they have had enough of adult topics, adjourn to the pleasures of kidom.

That's a sweet picture, Pam. I am excited because I just found out that my daughter & husband will be with us for Christmas...the first time in about 5 years that we will all be together. Aren't we lucky to have loving and supporting families?

Hi Pam,

What a relaxed and fun Thanksgiving. That photo brought me back to my own childhood when we children couldn't wait to be excused from the table-- especially at big functions like Thanksgiving. The adult conversations seemed so boring and endless to us. You are lucky to be so close to your family branches.

By the way, even at the age of 47, I still leave the table early and sit on the floor and play Chutes and Ladders with the kids.

Lovely photo, Pam. Glad you had such a nice T-giving - we did as well, with all generations on hand!

Beautiful shot. I'm so touched by the girl on the left - half girl, half woman. You can tell that in a few years, when the braces come off and she's all grown she's going to be so stunning. She's pretty now... don't get me wrong... but it's such an interesting transition age. You just pray that the girls know how special they are and how beautiful.
