Still Standing

Hi everyone, just wanted to take the time to thank you all for stopping by my blog to check up on me and to thank you for your e-mails . I have been very ill with a devastating case of the shingles and am just beginning to regain my strength. Lucky me, I couldn't get a normal case, no, I had to get them on the inside. They manifested themselves in my bladder and bowel. Yuck!

Thanks to the very good care of my Barbara I, Barbara II, my husband and the home care nurses, I am on the mend after 3 months of HELL. I am feeling so much better, and just in time for the holiday season.

I hope to get back to blogging, with the help of my angel, Barb I, after the new year. In the meantime, may I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

May your days be filled
With peace and contentment
And may you embrace each day
With joy!
Love and peace to all
Pam

Oh Pam--you just don't know how HAPPY I am to see some word from you.
Of course, I am so sorry for the reason you have not been able to write. I feared some physical affliction (beyond your ALS). Sorry to learn you have been so debilitated.
Now sending many more thoughts your way for healing, healing, healing.
And looking forward to sweet words and images from you to come.

I'm so sorry for your miseries but happy that they seem to be abating. Thanks for the post. Enjoy the season whether you post anymore or not. Bless.

By the way--how's the kitty?

(This is too funny--my word verification just happens to be HISSESS! Blogger must have known I was asking about a cat.)

So glad to see you back but wish you hadn't had to experience the horrors of shingles. Stay on the mend.

Thanks for the holiday wishes and I hope the season is special for you and your family this year, too.

Batman! You cannot begin to imagine how glad I am to see this post! I am so happy you are feeling better. I'd talked to Robin a while back and she told me what you were going through...now you will be able to put that behind you, and do have A MERRY CHRISTMAS my friend!

Pam, you have made my Holiday.!! Over the past months I've checked your blog regularly. Now to hear from you is very up-lifting.
It just isn't fair to get shingles on top of all else you have to contend with. I'm so glad you are on the mend and I send you and all your wonderful care-givers lots of Holiday cheer and hugs.
Love you........Ginnie

Hi, Pam. I've been absent for a long time as well -- too busy to do much blog visiting, and I am so sorry to hear that you've been having a hard time, glad to hear that it is abating.

I think often of your story about the "super chick" under the chair that helped you when you feel. Last year? The year before? Time gets away from me ...

Your strength, humor, creativity and love are an inspiration.

Best wishes as we move into a new year.

Dear Pam,

I've been away too long and as I slowly meander back to my fellow blogger's porches I'm relieved to see you are on the mend.

I know a woman who had a similar attack. Yes - your description is spot on. Hell.

You are in my thoughts and prayers, dear lady.

May your New Year be filled with smiles, laughter and the love of those whom you cherish and who cherish you.

Cathy
